DETAILED ITINERARY
Embark on a soul-stirring Himalayan journey through lush valleys, ancient villages, pristine alpine lakes, and the mighty Mayali Pass
Day 1: Rishikesh – Ghuttu – Reeh Village (2,010 m | Drive: 170 km / 8 hrs)
Accommodation: Camping
Your adventure begins at 8 AM from Rishikesh. Meet & assist by our company driver and begin your scenic drive through the lush foothills of Uttarakhand. Enjoy a delicious lunch at Ghuttu, a serene hamlet nestled beside the Bhilangna River. Once the traditional base for the Mayali Pass trek, the road now extends to Reeh Village, saving a day’s trek. Reach the campsite by late evening. Enjoy a warm welcome, followed by dinner under the stars.
Day 2: Reeh – Gangi (2,664 m | Trek: 12 km / 6 hrs)
Begin your trek through dense forests and charming Himalayan trails leading to the picturesque village of Gangi. This remote settlement is a cultural gem, offering mesmerizing mountain views and authentic Garhwali vibes. Overnight in tents.
Day 3: Gangi – Birodha Camp (2,876 m | Trek: 10 km / 6 hrs)
Trek through alpine terrain with gradual elevation gain. The trail winds through wildflower meadows and remote paths, leading you to Birodha Camp — a peaceful haven nestled amidst untouched natural beauty.
Day 4: Birodha Camp – Kharsoli (2,956 m | Trek: 8 km / 6 hrs)
Today’s trek is a mix of forested sections and open meadows. Reach Kharsoli, an idyllic riverside campsite surrounded by pine and oak forests. Listen to the melody of nature as you unwind by the roaring river.
Day 5: Kharsoli – Chowki (3,540 m | Trek: 12 km / 7 hrs)
Trek deep into the alpine zone, with grand views and an increasingly rugged terrain. Arrive at Chowki, your campsite near glacial streams and expansive meadows. The altitude now brings you closer to the mighty passes.
Day 6: Chowki – Masar Tal (3,675 m | Trek: 9 km / 7 hrs)
Reach the pristine and secluded Masar Tal, a sacred lake shimmering under the Himalayan sky. The trail is challenging but rewarding, offering breathtaking views of surrounding snow-clad peaks.
Day 7: Masar Tal – Mayali Pass (5,100 m) – Vasuki Tal (4,135 m) | Trek: 12 km / 7 hrs
The most thrilling day of the trek!
Cross the legendary Mayali Pass, a high-altitude spectacle at 5,100 meters. This challenging ascent rewards you with panoramic views of Thalay Sagar, Kedar Dome, and the Gangotri ranges. Descend to the surreal Vasuki Tal, a glacial lake nestled amidst towering peaks.
Day 8: Vasuki Tal – Kedarnath Temple (3,583 m | Trek: 7 km / 6 hrs)
Trek through majestic trails to arrive at the sacred Kedarnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. This spiritual culmination is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Overnight stay in Kedarnath.
Day 9: Kedarnath – Gaurikund – Rudraprayag (610 m | Trek: 20 km / Drive: 42 km / 8 hrs)
Begin your descent to Gaurikund. After reaching the base, drive through scenic river valleys to the confluence town of Rudraprayag, where Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers merge. Check into your hotel and relax after days of trekking.
Day 10: Rudraprayag – Rishikesh (Drive: 135 km / 7 hrs)
After breakfast, drive back to Rishikesh, cherishing unforgettable memories, mountain blessings, and a heart full of adventure.
