DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 01: Dehradun to Sankri (1920 m) | Drive 200 km – 8-9 hrs

 

Your journey begins with a mesmerizing drive through the foothills of the Himalayas. As you cruise along the Yamuna and Tons rivers, witness the gradual transformation from bustling towns to serene mountain villages. By evening, arrive at Sankri – a charming village tucked deep in the Govind Pashu Vihar Wildlife Sanctuary.

Day 02: Drive Sankri to Taluka (11 km) | Trek to Dharkot (2455 m) – 7 km | 4-5 hrs

 

After breakfast, a short drive brings you to Taluka – the trek’s starting point. Begin your ascent through lush forest trails dotted with walnut, pine, and deodar trees. Follow the Supin River upstream as you make your way to the peaceful hamlet of Dharkot.

Day 03: Dharkot to Vishkhopri (2850 m) – Trek 7 km | 4-5 hrs

 

Today’s trail offers a mix of forested paths, open clearings, and river crossings. As you ascend, enjoy panoramic views of the valley and spot Himalayan birds along the way. Vishkhopri greets you with sprawling green meadows—a perfect campsite under the stars.

Day 04: Vishkhopri to Rashi (3400 m) – Trek 8 km | 5-6 hrs

 

Continue your climb through enchanting alpine forests and rugged terrain to reach Rashi, a remote high-altitude grazing pasture. Snow-draped ridges and towering peaks line the horizon, making this campsite a photographer’s dream.

Day 05: Rashi to Maldaru Base Camp (4050 m) – Trek 7 km | 5-6 hrs

 

The trek turns more challenging today as you ascend above the tree line. Walk past boulder sections and high-altitude grasslands to reach Maldaru Base Camp. The campsite offers breathtaking views of the Swargarohini and Kalanag ranges.

Day 06: Maldaru Base to Maldaru Lake (4300 m) | Descend to Seema (2500 m) – Trek 11 km | 7-8 hrs

 

Rise early for the most awaited moment – the pristine Maldaru Lake, nestled amid Himalayan peaks and revered by locals. After spending quality time at the lake, begin your descent to Seema through steep switchbacks and forested trails.

Day 07: Trek Seema to Taluka – 12 km | Drive to Sankri (11 km) – Trek 5-6 hrs | Drive 1 hr

 

Descend through the vibrant Himalayan forest filled with rhododendrons and chirping birds. Reach Taluka, where your vehicle awaits to take you back to Sankri. A perfect evening to relax and reflect on your adventurous journey.

Day 08: Sankri to Dehradun – Drive 200 km | 8-9 hrs

 

After breakfast, drive back to Dehradun with memories of a lifetime. Trip ends with unforgettable moments, new friendships, and a heart full of the Himalayas.
