DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Dehradun to Sankri (Drive – 210 km, 8–9 hours)

Altitude: 6,400 ft

Stay: Guesthouse/Hotel in Sankri

Meals: Dinner

Highlights: Scenic drive through Mussoorie, Purola, Mori, and along the Tons River.

Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Dehradun to Sankri, a quaint Himalayan village located in the Govind Wildlife Sanctuary. The journey offers mesmerizing views of pine forests, river valleys, and snow-capped peaks. On arrival at Sankri, check into a cozy guesthouse. After a short briefing by the trek leader, enjoy a warm dinner and prepare for the trek ahead.

Day 2: Sankri to Juda Ka Talab (Trek – 4 km, 4–5 hours)

Altitude: 9,100 ft

Stay: Campsite

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Highlights: Walk through dense pine forests, snowy trails, and reach the frozen Juda Ka Talab.

Begin your trek through thick forests of oak and pine, with occasional clearings that offer spectacular views of snow-covered surroundings. Juda Ka Talab, a high-altitude lake, is partially frozen in winter and surrounded by snow-laden trees, making it a magical campsite. Relax under a starlit sky and enjoy your first night in the snow.

Day 3: Juda Ka Talab to Kedarkantha Base Camp (Trek – 4 km, 3–4 hours)

Altitude: 11,250 ft

Stay: Campsite

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Highlights: Stunning views of snow-clad mountains, camping under the open sky.

Today’s trek is a gradual ascent through dense forests and wide open clearings. As you approach the Kedarkantha Base Camp, the grandeur of Himalayan peaks like Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, and Black Peak unfolds before you. Camp in the snow with breathtaking views all around.

Day 4: Kedarkantha Summit & back to juda ka talab (Trek – 10 km, 6–7 hours)

Altitude: Summit – 12,500 ft

Stay: tent ⛺ 🎪 campsite

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Highlights: Sunrise summit climb, panoramic 360-degree mountain views.

Wake up early (around 3 AM) and gear up for the summit push. The trail is steep but rewarding as the golden rays of sunrise hit the snow-capped peaks. From the summit, witness awe-inspiring 360-degree views of the Himalayan ranges. After soaking in the views and capturing memories, descend to the base camp, have lunch, and trek down to Sankri by evening. Celebrate your successful summit with a hot dinner and warm stay.

Day 5: Sankri to Dehradun (Drive – 210 km, 8–9 hours)

Meals: Breakfast

Highlights: Journey back with unforgettable memories.
