DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Manali (2,050 m)

  • Check-in to hotel or guesthouse.
  • Briefing session, gear check, acclimatization walk.

Day 2: Drive to Solang Valley – Trek to Bakarthach (3,300 m)

  • Drive to Solang Valley (~13 km)
  • Trek through alpine meadows and forests to Bakarthach.
  • Camp overnight with views of snow peaks.

 

Day 3: Acclimatization & Training Day at Bakarthach

  • Basic mountaineering techniques: use of ice axe, crampons, rope handling.
  • Acclimatization hike to higher altitude.
  • Return to Bakarthach for overnight stay.

 

Day 4: Trek to Advance Base Camp (ABC) (4,000 m)

  • Trek over moraine and rocky terrain to ABC.
  • Campsite with snowfields and proximity to glaciers.
  • Preparation for summit push begins.

 

Day 5: Rest and Summit Preparation

  • Full rest day for acclimatization.
  • Final briefing on summit attempt.
  • Gear distribution and summit team formation.

 

Day 6: Summit Attempt (5,289 m) – Back to ABC

  • Midnight/early morning start.
  • Steep snow climbs, glacier traverses, rope-assisted sections.
  • Reach the summit – enjoy sunrise and views of Indrasan, Deo Tibba, Hanuman Tibba.
  • Descend back to ABC.

 

Day 7: Trek Back to Solang Valley – Drive to Manali

  • Descend from ABC to Bakarthach and Solang.
  • Drive to Manali. And drop

May to June and September to October are the ideal months.

These periods offer clear skies, less snowfall, stable weather, and breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks like Hanuman Tibba, Deo Tibba, and the Pir Panjal range.
